When to Wrap Pilings

When pilings are wrapped prior to being driven, the wrap can be damaged. On bottom the wrap can be torn or ballooned out, making the wrap ineffective. We wrap the pilings after they have been driven, to ensure a proper and effective fit. Pilings should be inspected annually, or after a significant storm, to check for damages. Damaged wrap should be removed and replaced to properly protect the dock. When we wrap pilings, we conduct the first annual inspection for free.
